About FHN

Plants have always been my passion. When I graduated from high school, I couldn’t decide what direction to go, so I asked myself, “What do I enjoy doing?” The first answer was: I enjoy growing things. From there, I attained a bachelors’ degree and a masters’ degree in horticulture from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. After managing a pine tree nursery for thirteen years, I spent the next 7 years as a stay-at-home mom.

Father’s Hope Nursery is a dream come true. Many years ago, my father and I planned this business venture and hence the name, Father’s Hope Nursery. (My middle name is Hope.)

That’s a cocker spaniel with a summer haircut! Her name is Snoopie.

Recently we added Fussy to the family. She came out of nowhere, an apparent stray. Now she enjoys visiting with our customers and keeping us company as we work.To contact Susan, call 337.375.3754
